Customs Faisalabad releases three consignments after receiving evaded duty and taxes

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation released three consignments worth Rs03.4million after receiving an evaded amount of duty and taxes. The said consignments were intercepted during the month of February 2018.

The consignments released by the Customs Intelligence consist of foreign origin Iranian chocolate priced at Rs128184, foreign origin engines valued at Rs07.5million, F/O mobiles accessories worth Rs456939, F/O garments priced at 02.4million and a consignment of the body of Toyota land cruiser worth Rs195866.

The abovementioned consignments were seized by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation due to evasion of customs duty valued at Rs01.3million, sales tax of Rs01.3million, income tax of Rs661994 and redemption fine duty of Rs647724 during February 2018.

The tax evasion was detected by a team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Sepoys Ajmal Hussain and Muhammad Musaddiq Ahmad.
