The Anti-Smuggling Organization formed a special team led by Superintendent Habib-ur-Rehman, Inspector Maqsood Ahmad and Inspector Muhammad Altaf Rana to take strict action against the crane. The Multan Customs started checking of the vehicles and goods to abort smuggling attempt on various routes. The Anti-Smuggling Organization intercepted a suspected crane near a fuel station during its patrol. Intercepted crane has registration No: JA-7561/ Jaffarabad.

The Multan Customs asked the crane driver to show legal documents to prove its legal possession but he submitted irrelevant documents. The value of the impounded Hino crane is approximately Rs1.5million. Further investigations are underway.
