E&T issues notices to 90 owners of banglows

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation has issued the final recovery and warning notices to the owners of 90 banglows for not paying outstanding luxury taxes.

According to official sources, the E&T department has decided to these 90 banglows located in the posh areas in Gujranwala Division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.

The Punjab government had already imposed luxury tax on the properties in the posh areas at the rate of Rs 504,000 on 2000 square feet property, Rs 104,000 luxury tax on 4000 square feet property and Rs 1.5 million lifetime luxury tax on the property more than the 4000 square feet as well. The government formed special E&T teams to recover Rs 519 million as luxury tax in Gujranwala Division.
