Deputy collector assures all-out efforts to make HDP vibrant

HYDERABAD: Deputy Collector Customs Hyderabad Syed Karim Adil has assured that all-out efforts would be adopted to make Hyderabad Dry Port (HDP) vibrant in order to facilitate the exporters and importers of Hyderabad.

He given such assurance while talking to media persons after attending a seminar organised by the Trade Development Authority Pakistan here at Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday.

He informed that the feedback regarding activation of Hyderabad Cry Port has been received from the business community of Hyderabad and on such basis efforts would be made to resolve the issues which were being experienced by the exporters and importers at the dry port.

He also assured the formation of a committee with representation of the officials of Customs, TDAP and HCCI to find out solutions for making Hyderabad Dry Port more vibrant. The committee would hold its meeting fortnightly to resolve the issues and facilitate the business community of Hyderabad, he added.

About the seminar, organised by the TDAP, Syed Karim Adil said that main focus of organising such seminars was to create awareness among the business community regarding the benefits of WeBoc customs.

The TDAP conducted two sessions of the seminar under which the exporters and importers were informed in detail about the advantages of WeBoc customs, he informed and added that by adopting this system, the exporters and importers could easily resolved their issues which they were experiencing while dealing their business.

Earlier, the representatives of TDAP spoke at length about WeBoc customs system. Among others, the Vice President HCCI Ziauddin was also present on the occasion.
