KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait’s exports in January 2018 were in the range of KD 1,755 million (USD 5.6 billion) with a 22.1% increase and imports stood at KD 955 million (USD 3.1 billion) with a 7.0 percent increase compared with January 2017, according to Kuwait Central Statistical Bureau.
Also in January 2018, balance of trade was KD 800 million (USD 2.6 billion), while it was KD 545 million (USD 1.8 billion) in January 2017 with a 46.8% increase.
In the same month, volume of trade increased 16.3% compared with January 2017. Trade of volume was KD 2,710 million (approx. USD six million) in January 2018 while it was kd 2.329 million in January 2017. Coverage rate was 183.8% in January 2018, while it was 161.1% in January 2017. In January 2018, Coverage rate (excluding oil) was 17.8% while it was 16.6% in January 2017.
