LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to present a detailed report regarding Aleem Khan co-owned Visionary Developers housing scheme case.

A two-judge bench headed by Justice Qasim Ali Khan conducted hearing of the petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan against NAB inquiries.

The LHC bench said that according to the law, the accountability bureau holds authority to summon people more than once in any respective case.

To this end, Aleem Khan’s counsel said that NAB has opened inquiry against the PTI leader’s housing scheme for three times but on each occasion it was closed due to lack of evidence.

It was further argued that under the relevant law, an inquiry closed thrice cannot be opened again. Aleem’s counsel said that NAB has opened inquiry for the fourth time and requested the court to stop this ‘harassment’.
