Multan RTO suffer shortfall of Rs.700 million in March

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) suffers revenue shortfall of Rs.780 million during the month of March.

According to details, Federal Board of Revenue assigned Rs.8.57 billion revenue collection target to Regional Tax Office Multan for the month of March 2017-18.The Regional Tax Office was given Rs.4.50 billion income tax collection task for the month of March. The Federal Board of Revenue has allotted sales tax revenue target of Rs.4 billion and federal excise duty of Rs.700 million to Regional Tax Office Multan for the on-going economic year 2017-18.

The revenue Collection made by the Regional Tax Office is almost shortfall of Rs.700 million from assigned target of March after the end of month. Tax authorities of Multan accomplished the Income tax revenue by collecting Rs.4.506 billion for the month of March. The Regional Tax Office Multan has done collection of Rs.3.24 billion against assigned target of Rs.4 billion in wake of Sales tax during the March.

The Regional Tax Office Multan has collected Rs.500 million against revenue task of Rs.700 million under the head of Federal Excise Duty for the duration of March. Tax Authorities of Regional Tax Office Multan has taken strict action against defaulters for the recovery of their outstanding taxes to meet the revenue task for the month of March but they failed to accomplish the assigned task
