IRSA releases 73,300 cusecs water

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Tuesday released 73,300 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 92,600 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1393.29 feet, which was 13.29 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 30,600 cusecs while outflow as 18,000 cusecs. The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1067.15 feet, which was 27.15 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 22,700 cusecs and 16,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 41,100, 24,800 and 5,500 cusecs respectively. Similarly from the Kabul River, 27,400 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 5,900 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
