Sargodha FIU seizes Iranian ceramic tiles worth Rs3.3m

SARGODHA: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Field Intelligence Unit have seized imported ceramic tiles worth Rs 3.3 million involving duty and taxes to the tune of Rs5 million during a raid.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Rana Irfan Shouqat received credible information about some smuggling attempts.  She directed all anti smuggling squads to enhance patrolling on the main entry and exit points of the city. The anti smuggling team intercepted a Hino truck bearing registration no: TKZ-880 loaded with imported ceramic tiles. The intelligence department searched the truck near Musa Khail. The truck was loaded with Iranian origin ceramic tiles.
