Eberhard has been with EKF for 17 years. She was appointed the agency’s CEO in 2007, and has since “headed up the business during a period of strong growth in number of customers, business volumes and results”, the agency writes in a statement.

“EKF’s board of directors will now set about finding a new CEO, who will be entrusted with ensuring that EKF will reach even more exporters and finance even more Danish exports in the coming years,” it says.

Commenting on her decision to seek new challenges, Eberhard says the new position was “an offer I could not turn down”.

“I have had some amazing years at EKF. Throughout the years, I have been pleased with the fact that we have generated results for the benefit of Danish exporters, and I am happy to be able to hand over a strong and ambitious EKF with the best financial results ever. It will be sad to say goodbye because EKF is a great company.
