JAKARTA: A Japanese-Singaporean consortium has been given the go ahead to build a new terminal in the Indonesian capital. The new terminal will have an annual handling capacity of approximately 1.5m teu, an overall berth length of 850 m, and a 16 m draft upon completion.
PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (IPC), Mitsui & Co, shipping line Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Singapore port operator PSA International have agreed to jointly participate in the construction and operation of a new container terminal at Tanjung Priok Port. This new terminal will be developed and operated by the newly established project company PT New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT1).
