Islamabad Customs earns Rs6760m comparative more revenue within nine months and 23 days

ISLAMABAD: The MCC Islamabad received Rs6760million extra revenue under all the heads of duty and taxes during 1st of July to23rd of April FY17-18 against the same corresponding duration of FY16-17.

According to details explained by Irfan-ul-Rehman, Collector, Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad that, during above said period of FY17-18, the Collectorate of Islamabad earned Rs17493million under all the heads against Rs10733million under the identical head during the same period of FY16-17. The collectorate showed 63% increase.
He said that, during July to 23rd of April FY17-18 against the same previous duration, the MCC Islamabad respectively demonstrated 38% hike in Customs Duty (CD), 105% increase of Sales Tax (ST), 39% growth in Income Tax (IT) and 41% boost of Federal Excise Duty (FED).

During July to 23 of April FY16-17, the Collectorate of Islamabad generated Rs5911.64million as CD, Rs8102.90million of ST, Rs2914.19million as IT and Rs564.37million fetched under the head of FED whereas the MCC Islamabad received Rs4290.38million of CD during July to 23 of April Fy16-17 as well as it got Rs3943.83million under the head of ST, Rs2099million of IT, Rs400.33million as FED.
The collectorate collected additional revenue during July to23rd of April FY17-18 againt the same period of FY16-17. The Collectorate of Islamabad earned additional amount of Rs1621million of CD, Rs4159million as ST, Rs815million of IT as well as the MCC Islamabad did additional Rs164million of FED against July to 23rd of April FY16-17.
