DGTR organizes training workshop on accounting principles & post clearance audit techniques

ISLAMABAD:  Directorate General Training and Research (DGTR) Customs has organized five days training workshop on accounting principles and post clearance audit techniques.

According to details, the purpose of the training is to develop, improve and help employees to acquire advance techniques in the post audit and accounting principles. It is planned to establish a highly professional Customs audit institute having dedicated and trained human resource to conduct post-clearance audit based on well-defined and professionally accredited procedures with utmost integrity and in trade friendly manner to safeguard government revenue in respect of customs duties and other levies relating to imports and exports and to act as effective deterrent for improvement of trade compliance.

The five days training on the said topics conducted by the Directorate General Training and Research Customs Islamabad also aimed to ensure employees that the international trade complies fully with all Customs legislation, all imports and exports have been properly declared to the customs, the amounts of customs duties and other duties and taxes have been properly calculated and paid, the national and international trade controls, prohibitions and restrictions (license, quota, cities, etc.) have been fully observed.
