ISLAMABAD: The government has given a deadline of March, 15 for preparation of a feasibility report for laying railway track from the federal capital to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
An agreement between the government and an Austrian firm Messers ILF has already been executed for working out the feasibility report on this project. It has been set out in the agreement that the feasibility report would be prepared within six months.
Sources said that PC-1 would be framed after the feasibility report is completed. Contacts will be made for acquisition of land soon after PC-1 is approved.
