Customs shipping cars damaged after trailer faced incident

PESHAWAR: A vehicle loaded with shipping cars faced accident due to which several valuable cars had been badly damaged.

The Customs authorities have confirmed the incident and said that due to unknown reasons the vehicle had faced incident due to which the hybrid imported cars have been damaged.

The sources informed Customs Today on Friday that the owners of cars have been waiting to get the cars to be delivered to them but due to road incident the cars had been damaged for which steps have been taken to minimize the loss for importers.

According to further detail the vehicle were loaded with imported cars was moving from Karachi to Punjab from where its destination was Customs Dry Port Peshawar but it met with incident on the way due to which the cars had been damaged.

Faheem Akhtar whose Honda Civic car was also damaged in the incident said that he had been waiting for the new car to be arrived but all of his pleasure have been maximized by accident and his car has been damaged badly.

Upon asking the customs officials about the accident they informed Customs Today that such accidents come in advent after bad road condition throughout the country and due to which marginal loss has been faces by the importers.

The customs officials insured of carrying out investigation of the accident for which team has been constituted as these cars have been shifting to Customs Dry Port at different parts of the country.
