Gwadar Customs seizes luxury tyres, mudguards worth Rs9m on Wednesday

GAWADAR: The Customs Collectorate seized huge quantity of luxury cars tyres and mudguards worth Rs9 million on Wednesday morning.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Gwadar Junaid Mehmood received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle luxury cars tyres and mud guards from Gwadar to Sindh.

He constituted a raiding team of the Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Raja Waseem and others. The team, during a search operation near Bar highway road, intercepted a truck bearing registration number SBJ-0826

During the search operation, the team impounded 80 different types of luxury cars tires and 50 mud guards valued at Rs 9 million. The team took into possession all the smuggling tyres and other things and arrested two smugglers.

Sources told that after completion of initial investigations from the accused persons a FIR will be registered against the accused persons.
