FBR issues revised seniority list of Customs Inspectors

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue has issued revised seniority list of Customs Inspectors (BS-16) who were appointed/promoted up to December 31, 1990.

Previously the FBR issued the same list vide letter No. 24(8)2000-ACE.II-(Cus.III) dated 28.04.2014. Since then a number of Inspectors have retired from service and are no more on the sanctioned strength/ seniority list.

Moreover, some Inspectors had filed Appeals No. 607(L) to 613(L), 709(L) and 710(L)/2016 in Federal Service Tribunal, Lahore for assigning seniority from the dates of their initial appointment and the FST has accepted their appeal vide order dated 10.5.2017, duly upheld by the Supreme Court of Pakistan vide order dated 06.06.2018.

“Therefore, it is necessary to issue revised seniority list of the Inspectors who were appointed/promoted up to 31.12.1990,” said the FBR.

All Heads of concerned field formations have been advised to circulate the revised seniority list amongst the concerned Customs Inspectors immediately besides, placing a copy on the Notice Board.
