Sargodha ASO impounds non-customs paid Honda City car‏

SARGODHA: The Field Intelligence Unit of Anti- Smuggling Organization impounded Honda City car model 2003. The market value of seized vehicle is Rs 5 million involving duty and taxes of Rs2.8 million.

Sources told Customs Today on Saturday that Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamadani received credible information regarding above-said smuggled vehicle plying on the road.

After receiving the information, he immediately formed a raiding team comprising Superintendent Sardar Muhammad, Inspector Atif Mumtaz, Bashir Ahmed, Havaldar Rana Muhammad Ashraf and Sepoys Hafiz Naseer Ahmed, Shafqat Mehmood Muhammad Amin.

The raiding team intercepted the vehicle near Session Road Sargodha without affixed registration number plate with bearing engine no D-96 P as per supplied documents.

The team asked owner of the vehicle who was identified as Muhammad Nadeem Javed to provide legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle but he failed to provide the same. Upon his failure, ASO team seized Honda City car and registered a case against the accused person.
