SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Police recovered 88 kilograms of opium from two men now in custody in this capital city of northern Jawzjan province on Saturday, an official said
Jawzjan police chief Brig. Gen Faqir Mohammad told Pajhwok Afghan News the detainees had skillfully placed the opium in a vehicle and wanted to smuggle the substance from Chahar Bolak district to the provincial capital Shiberghan early on Saturday morning.
He said further details about the case would be shared with the media, pending the ongoing investigation.
