Court to conclude hearing of heroin smuggling case within one month

LAHORE: Session Court Additional Judge Shahid Bashir Chaudhary has said on Friday that court will announce verdict of the case within one month.

Meanwhile court issued arrest warrants of two customs officials who are witness in case of a Czech Republican model who was arrested red handed while making attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of heroin worth of Rs 100 million in international market. On Thursday court also recorded statement of one official of customs Inspector Din Muhammad of Traffic Section.

On Friday during hearing of the case judge of the special court said that all wittiness must be present in the court during next hearing otherwise stern action will be taken. He said that case will be concluded during one month time.

During hearing accused model said before the court she is missing her family and started crying in the court while his facilitator Shoaib Hafeez was also present in court hearing. Customs officials were summoned by the court to record their statements.

It is necessary to mention here that a Czech woman 21-year-old Tereza Hzulkova, while carrying nine kilograms of heroin was arrested at the Allama Iqbal International Airport. The Czech lady adopted the stance that she came to visit Pakistan for modeling purpose and don’t know that heroin is hidden in her bag.
