Collector Adjudication Seema Bokhari issues show-cause notice to owner of NDP goods

ISLAMABAD: Collector Adjudication Seema Raza Bokhari has issued a show-cause notice to Muhammad Haroon and Akhtar Wali who are nominated as accused persons in FIR case no. 33/2018 of seized smuggled goods (cloth 16000 kilogram ) which were recovered from Karkhano Market.

She has directed to both reporting agency and respondent to furnish documentary evidence and to present oral arguments.

According to details, it has been reported by the deputy collector customs that in pursuance of information that huge quantity of foreign origin smuggled goods have been dumped in Haroon Market Karkhano Market.

The raiding team was also assisted by local police. During operation, the raiding team recovered huge quantity of foreign-origin smuggled curtain cloth 37922187 yards (14189 kilogram), bed sheet cloth 42 2997 yards (1235 kilogram) and cotton cloth 4100 yards (635 kg) and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further proceedings.

Now Collector Adjudication Seema Raza Bukhari has issued a show-cause notice to the owners of the goods directed them to appear on the date fixed for hearing, otherwise case will be decided after hearing and on the basis of material available on record.
