Customs Appraisement posts 31pc growth during August: Collector Jamil Nasir Khan

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement collected Rs3767 million during the month of August showing growth of 31 percent during.

Collector Jamil Nasir Khan while presiding over monthly revenue collection meeting on 1.9.2018 expressed his satisfaction on overall performance of the Collectorate. The meeting was held at Mughalpura Dry Port. Jamil Nasir Khan said that the Collectorate has surpassed target of revenue collection under the head of customs duty during the months of July and August with wide margin.

He said that the Collectorate collected Rs3767 million during the month of August witnessing growth of 31 percent despite no import clearance by the importers for almost one week due to Eidul Azha holidays.

Collector Jamil Nasir Khan congratulated his team for surpassing the target and stressed upon them that maximum facilitation should be extended to the importers by ensuring early clearance of their consignments.
