Sara-i-Muhajir FIU seizes 8000 liters of smuggled diesel

SARAI-I-MUHAJIR: Customs Collectorate Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) seized 8,000 liters of diesel worth Rs 2.8 million near Sara-i-Muhajir city.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization received credible information that huge quantity of foreign origin diesel fuel was being smuggled from Karachi to Sara-i-Muhajir. On receiving the information the ASO constituted a special team under the supervision of Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamdani to thwart this attempt.

The special team intercepted diesel fuel tanker six wheeler bearing registration number: TTA-387 and seized 8000 liters of diesel fuel. The market value of that confiscated diesel is around Rs2.8 million. The ASO team arrested Allah Ditta on the spot.

It is pertinent to mention here that the ASO has forward a seizure report to Customs adjudication for further legally action.
