Sargodha ASO seizes foreign origin 2556 mobile phones

SARGODHA: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization team seized huge quantity of foreign origin mobile phones from a Suzuki car.

Sources told Customs Today that Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamdani received credible information about some smuggling attempts. He immediately constituted a raiding team comprising Rana Muhammad Ashraf, Havalda and Sepoy Hafiz Muhammad Naseer and Muhammad Imran.

Sources told that the above mentioned team established a check post near Sial Mor Interchange. During checking of vehicles the ASO team intercepted a Suzuki car bearing registration number FT-361 Islamabad and recovered foreign origin 2556 andoraid mobile phone without battery accessories.

The ASO team asked the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Rasool Khan to produce legal documents regarding possession and transportation of these mobile phones but he remained failed. After his failure Customs ASO team seized the mobile phones and registered a case of smuggling against the owner of the mobiles. Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamdani has appreciated the performance of the ASO staff.
