On the pursuant information, a team of customs officials raided said place and recovered and seized entire betel nuts consisting of 3348 gunny bags containing 1,92,180 kilograms.

Counsel argued that his client is neither mentioned in FIR nor in the challan and he is innocent and was falsely implicated in this case. He said that prosecution has no evidence which could show the link of the applicant with the seized betel nuts, godown from where the betel nuts were seized and the truck which was found transporting the betel nuts.

After argument, the court granted his bail against the surety of Rs10,000 and directed him to appear before the court on next date of hearing for confirmation or otherwise.
