Customs seeks early hearing of appeal filed against M/s Yummy Milk Products (Pvt) Ltd

LAHORE: Customs department sought early hearing of appeal filed against M/s Yummy Milk Products Private Limited, Lahore. The appeal was filed by the department on some discrepancies. The case is pending before the Customs Appellate Tribunal for many years.

On 14.0.2-18, deputy collector of Customs (G-IV) wrote letter to the assistant registrar of Customs Appellate Tribunal Lahore for early hearing of case filed against M/s Yummy Milk Products Private Limited.

The customs department mentioned in the reminder letter that the case of M/s Yummy Milk Products Private Limited has pending before the Customs Appellate Tribunal from many years also mentioned that same case pertaining to Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit Lahore.

The deputy collector also highlighted about audit Para No. 11.3/PDP No 9742 customs for the year 2004-05 and Departmental Account Committee (DAC) is pressing for decision in the light of honorable Lahore High Court (LHC) directions.

Customs officer also sought attention regarding the first three reminders issued on the dates on July 11, 2015, August 03, 2015 and November 02, 2016.

Department officers requested the Customs Appellate Tribunal for the early hearing of case to solve the issues regarding this case. Deputy collector wrote letter that early response from the Customs Appellate Tribunal will he highly appreciated.
