Sara-i-Mujahir ASO seizes huge quantity of smuggled kerosene oil

SARA-I-MUHAJIR: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) confiscated 15000 liters of smuggled kerosene oil and oil tanker worth Rs2.8 million.

Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamdani received information regarding the smuggling of kerosene oil. Following the information, he formed a team comprising Superintendent Choudhary Sardar Muhammad, Inspector Amir Mumtaz Bajwa, Driver Tanveerul Haq and Riasat Hussain to foil the smuggling bid.

ASO team intercepted the oil tanker bearing registration no: FDD-8561 near Sara-i-Muhajir Chowk Bhakkar and recovered smuggled 15000 liters kerosene oil which was being transported from Multan to Mianwali.

The ASO team confiscated the oil besides impounding the oil tanker under the prevailing customs law. The case has been registered against the accused person namely Muhammad Nazeer son of Ahmed Hassan while further investigations are underway in this regard.
