Tax defaulters will be dealt with iron hands: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Asad Umar warned the tax defaulters, tax evaders and non-taxpayers that they will have to pay their due share otherwise stern action will be taken against them.

He gave these remarks while talking with media at the Parliament House. He said, ”We will bring back the looted money.”

On the other hand International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation will meet finance minister soon. The delegation will discuss the matters pertaining to the payment of loan installments.

While Finance Minister Asad Umar has dispelled the notion that Pakistan is facing a financial emergency and said that there is no need to rush to the IMF for a bailout.

Asad Umar said, ”We are trying to increase the exports, adding that there are 70 percent loans and only 30 percent investment involved in CPEC projects. He held responsible to previous government for increase in petroleum prices.
