FinovateAsia returning to Hong Kong on October 29-30

Hong kong : Fintech industry conference Finovate is returning to Hong Kong later this month for the third annual FinovateAsia. The two day event will kick off Hong Kong Fintech Week 2018.

The two-day FinovateAsia event will be held on October 29-30 at the Hong Kong Convention Centre.

Representatives from the financial services industry, analyst firms and the public sector will deliver addresses and participate in roundtable discussions based on three streams.

The first stream covers insurance and payments for executive boardrooms, the second stream concentrates on AI and blockhain, and the thrid focuses on open banking and the API economy.

Over 30 fintech companies will alo use the event to demo their latest solutions live on stage during the event.

Guest speakers include Alipay GM for Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau Venetia Lee, HKMA CFO for fintech facilitation Nelson Chow and DBS Bank CIO Neal Cross.

Other speakers include Financial Services Club chairman Chris Skinner, Open Bank Working Group co-chair Louise Beaumont, TNG Wallet business development director Lawrence Li, Tencent head of B2B product group Tim Leung. InvestHK head of fintech Charles D’Haussy and HKSAR under secretary for commerce and economic development Bernard Chan Pak-li.
