Trade activities resume at Pak-Afghan Torkham border

TORKHAM: Remained close for two days due to general election in Afghanistan, Pak-Afghan sharing border was resumed for traffic and pedestrian movement.

Pakistan border security official told that the border was reopened on Sunday morning as per routine schedule and all the vehicles and passengers stuck on both sides of the border were let to cross.

According to the locals long queue of passengers was witnessed out the NADRA office while numberless  loaded and empty trucks  crossed in and out  the border.

It is to be mentioned here that the Afghan government suspended Pak-Afghan border Torkham on Friday for all kind of crossing for two days fearing of any untoward happen on occasion of general election conducted last day.
