Gwadar Customs seizes huge quantity of smuggled crystal plastic dana worth Rs7.80m

GWADAR: Collectorate of Customs team seized huge quantity of plastic dana worth Rs 7.80 million including vehicle being used for smuggling.

Sources told Customs Today on 25.10.2018 that Deputy Collector Gawadar Junaid Mehmood received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle white crystal plastic dana from Gwadar to different cities.

After receiving this information, he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Juaid Ibraheem and others. The team, during a search operation in Bar area intercepted a vehicle bearing registration no GVD-9238.

During search, the team impounded more than 500 big packets of plastic dana valued at Rs7.80 million including truck being used in smuggling.

The team seized all smuggled items and arrested truck driver, who were later identified Nasir Waheed. Sources told that customs official started investigations from accused person.
