Hong Kong customs seizes $30m heroin in tyres of quad bike

HONG KONG: Hong Kong authorities have seized F$30 million (NZ$20 million) worth of heroin in the tyres of a quad bike. Police and customs said the heroin was tightly packed into about 80 packets in the bike on Lautoka Wharf.

Custom’s head Jitoko Tikolevu said seizure of heroin is rare in Fiji.Heroin attracts a higher price than cocaine on the streets.” The container that had the bike in it was addressed to a local resident. Acting Commissioner of Police Isikeli Vuniwaqa said they had a suspect is in custody but would not reveal further details.
