FBR tyring hard to expand tax net by extending maximum facilities to taxpayers: Chairman Jahanzaib Khan

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Minister for Finance, Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakhat called on Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Jahanzaib Khan at FBR House on Thursday.

Official sources told Customs Today that matters pertaining to maintain financial disciplines and streamlining taxation system came under discussion. Makhdoom Hashim appraised about the measures being adopted by the provincial government for evolving effective strategy to improve taxation policies and allocating adequate funds for development and welfare oriented activities.

Chairman FBR Jahanzaib Khan said that we are trying to enhance tax net in the country by extending maximum facilities to tax payers. He said it is endeavor of FBR, to delegate administrative and financial powers so that better results could be achieved besides improving the performance of different functionaries relating to revenue collection.

He was of the view that government intends to provide a congenial atmosphere of local and foreign investment in the country which would provide optimum opportunities of jobs and business.

Provincial Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakhat also discussed financial issues concerning Provincial departments and federal organizations
