Customs Intelligence impounds non-duty paid Hino worth Rs8m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized non duty paid Hino truck model 1997 with bearing registration No E-1341 worth Rs 8 million involving duty and taxex Rs 2.8 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat received information about non duty paid vehicles and he formed special team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Sepoy Muhammad Shahbaz Shouqat, Hayat Muzamil Hussain, Muhammad Rafique and Zeshan Farooq.

The customs team intercepted the truck and asked the driver identified as Muhammad Ghani to produce legal documents regarding possession of the truck but he failed to provide any relevant documents in this regard.
