ISLAMABAD: Customs North Region received 31% extra revenue during the month of October under all duty and taxes as compared with the same period of last Fiscal Year 2017-18.
Official sources told Customs Today that Customs North Region which comprises Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot and Gilgit-Baltistan received Rs5471.83 million under all heads against revenue collection of Rs4168.35 million collected during the corresponding period.
The North Region received customs duty (CD) of Rs1985 million while Rs2133.80 million collected under head of sales tax (ST) whereas it received Rs128.82 million under head of federal excise duty (FED).
Sources told that Customs North Region received Rs1224.18 million under head of income tax (IT) during month of October of Fiscal Year 2018-19.
During his tenure as Collector North Region, Jawwad Agha adopted a comprehensive strategy to enhance revenue collection during current fiscal year.
