KCCI finalizes 19 sub-committees, 4 special committees for 2018-19

KARACHI: The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) appointed Chairpersons of 19 Sub-Committees and four Special Committees for the year 2018-19.

Chairman Businessmen Group & Former President KCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli, Vice Chairmen BMG Tahir Khaliq, Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooki and Anjum Nisar, President KCCI Junaid Esmail Makda, Senior Vice President KCCI Khurram Shahzad and Vice President KCCI Asif Sheikh Javaid congratulated the newly appointed chairpersons of all sub-committees.

They extended full support and cooperation to the Chairpersons of various Sub-Committees which have been formed to facilitate the business and industrial community of Karachi.

They hoped that the newly appointed chairpersons will try their best to effectively highlight and resolve the genuine issues being confronted by the business and industrial community and utilize all available resources to further improve the image of Karachi Chamber.

According to details, GST & SRB Sub-Committee will be headed by Shakeel ur Rehman, Federal Taxation Sub-Committee by Hilal Sheikh, Exports/ Special Economic Zones Sub-Committee by Tariq Anis, Customs & Valuation Sub-Committee by Waseem ur Rehman, Import, Anti-Smuggling, Quarantine, Certifications Sub-Committee by Hanif Pochi, Industry & Environment Sub-Committee by Riaz Dhedhi, Banking & Insurance Sub-Committee by Khurram Riaz, Fairs, Exhibitions & Trade Delegations Sub-Committee by Naveed Farooki, Law & Order Sub-Committee by Hafeez Aziz, Communication Sub-Committee by Shahid Ismail, Diplomatic Missions & Embassies Liaison Sub-Committee by Shamoon Zaki, Public Sector Utilities, Power & Gas Sub-Committee by Humayun Muhammad, Provincial & Local Taxes Sub-Committee by Tanveer Ahmed Barry, Ports, Shipping & Multi Modal Transport Sub-Committee by Hassan Sheikh Vohra, Health & Education Sub-Committee by M. Ismail Suria, WTO, IPR, FTA & Regional Trade Sub-Committee by Shamim Ahmed Jumlana, Women Entrepreneurs Sub-Committee by Durre Shahwar, Travel & Tourism Hajj & Umrah Sub-Committee by Faisal Naeem and Housing, Construction & Real Estate Sub-Committee by Asif Sumsum.

Moreover, Special Committee for Special Committee to Implement MoUs/ ICC/ WCF will be led by President KCCI Junaid Esmail Makda, Special Committee for My Karachi Exhibition by Muhammad Idrees, Special Committee for Small Traders by Abdul Majid Memon and Special Committee for Industrial Zones by Suleman Chawla.
