Gadani Customs bulldozes smuggled apples worth millions of rupees

GADANI: Customs team at Gadani apprehended and bulldozed huge quantity of smuggled apples worth millions of rupees in separate successful raids.

According to the details, Customs Preventive team has beefed up the surveillance at the entry and exit points of the bordering areas and strict checking of different vehicles is underway to apprehend the smugglers and to restrict the act of smuggling.

During the checking and surveillance, the staff deputed at the check post near Iran border has managed to bust three different vehicles carrying millions of rupees smuggled apples in separate successful raids.

The source informed Customs Today that several contraband items are being smuggled from Iran after which the higher authorities of the Customs decided to take strict action against smugglers involved in the heinous crime.

Just to give the message that smuggling will not be tolerated in any condition, the staff of customs brought the busted vehicles carrying several tons of smuggled apples at the Gadani Customs House and bulldozed apples worth millions of rupees.

The staff of the Pakistan Customs Gadani apprehended the drivers of the said truck carrying smuggled boxes of the apple and lodged cases against them.
