Assistant Collector Omer bin Zafar Chatha constituted a team consisting of Inspector Muhammad Ali, Inspector Muhammad Sajid, Inspector Rana Mujtaba Noon, Inspector Maqsood Ahmad and others. Customs teams enhanced the patrolling for strict vigilance of the region to foil smuggling of goods.

During patrolling the ASO team intercepted a truck near Kot Sabzal check post and recovered 200 high definition digital satellite receivers and 60 LEDs during action.

Customs teams asked the driver to produce documents regarding the legal import of the recovered goods but he could not provide anything lawful. Then anti-smuggling teams seized said items under the Customs Act 1969.

The seized goods were deposited to the Multan Customs State Warehouse. The net value of the seized goods was almost Rs1.1 million. Further investigations are still under way.
