Multan RTO finalizing tax report of Hina Rabbani Khar & family members

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office is finalizing a report of ex-foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar and her family members regarding income tax returns submitted by them in wake of NAB interrogation of ‘assets beyond known means’ case.

Sources told Customs Today that NAB has provided necessary details of ex-foreign minister and MNA Hina Rabbani Khar’s Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number which is 35201-1339486-4 to Regional Tax Office. Hina Rabbani Khar is the sitting Member National Assembly and she was elected on the reserved quota from Pakistan People’s Party in the 2018 Elections.

NAB has also requested Regional Tax Office Multan to provide tax details of (mother of Hina Rabbani Khar) Sumaira Rabbani Khar, wife of Ghulam Rabbani Khar, bearing CNIC no.35201-1339480-6. Tax details of MNA Raza Rabbani Khar also sought from Regional Tax Office Multan. Raza Rabbani Khar was elected from constituency NA -183 (Muzaffargarh) after winning elections against Jamshaid Khan Dasti.

National Accountability Bureau has received a complaint against Hina Rabbani Khar, Raza Rabbani Khar and Sumaira Rabbani Khar for having assets beyond means.

The Regional Tax Office has been asked to submit details of an audit of income tax and wealth statement of each year after their registration. Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Abid Raza Bodla has formed a special committee to complete tax report of Khar family within seven working days.
