LONDON: A man was caught on camera allegedly taking a red Honda logo from another a Honda Civic Type R and pasting it on the front bumper of his regular Honda Civic.
The red logo is unique to Honda’s Type R models.
A Stomp reader told the citizen journalism website that a dispute arose between two of his neighbours as a result of the incident.
He said one of them found the front logo of his Honda Civic Type R missing at about 8am on Dec 14, while the car was parked in a multi-storey car park at Hougang Parkview.
He told Stomp: “In a video captured on my neighbour’s in-car camera, a man can be seen crouching down in front of his car for some time and then walking off.
“After seeking other neighbours’ help by asking for footage from their in-car cameras, this man was captured walking back to a black Honda Civic and was seen locking the car.
“Later that day, the black Honda Civic was spotted with the red Honda logo, and it was pasted on with a double-sided tape. It was also done rather messily.”
The Stomp contributor said they confronted the man who allegedly took the red Honda logo, but he denied it.
“He said he approached my neighbour’s car because he was merely helping to secure the logo, as it looked like it was coming off.
“We shall leave it to public to judge if this was the case.”
The Stomp reader added that the red logo on the black Honda Civic was seen partially hidden with a red Rudolph’s nose accessory the next day. – Asiaone
