Quetta ASO impounds 227 non-customs paid vehicles

QUETTA: Under supervision of Collector Ashraf Ali, the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) impounded 227 non-customs paid vehicles along with huge quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs72.68 million during the month of January.

Talking with Customs Today, he said that during the month of January, the ASO seized 51782 kilograms of foreign origin cloth worth Rs19 million while seized green and black tea worth Rs0.96 million and 1022 tyres of different sizes worth Rs6.9 million. He said that ASO also seized auto spare parts worth Rs1.61 million.

He said that ASO seized three bottles of liquor worth Rs0.0027 million and 4860 liters of smuggled petrol worth Rs0.244 million, 310190 liters of smuggled diesel worth Rs22 million, 1700 liters of mobil oil worth Rs0.168 million, 18 cartons of foreign origin fake cigarettes worth Rs0.406 million, electronic goods worth Rs0.115 million and 14 carpets worth Rs 0.212 million.

ASO also seized 69 urea fertilizer sacks worth Rs0.125 million, 10 blankets worth Rs0.035 million, various medicines worth Rs0.29 million, Indian Gutka worth Rs1.7 million, smuggled toiletries worth Rs0.715 million while seized miscellaneous goods worth Rs.16.34 million in January.
