Customs North Region earns 29pc extra revenue

ISLAMABAD: Chief Collector Customs North Region Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah said that North Region has surpassed assigned revenue collection target for July to February 2019 with extra amount of Rs838 million, showing an increase of 29 percent.

Customs North region which comprises Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot and Gilgit Baltistan received Rs3689 million under all heads against assigned revenue collection target of Rs2851 million. He told that during the above-said period, the North Region earned Rs 10738 million under head of customs duty (CD) against assigned target of Rs11102 million.

He said that all the Collectorates including Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot and GB achieved their assigned revenue collection targets which is appreciateable. He hoped that this revenue performance will be continued, adding that all the officials and officers of all the Collectorate working under North Region deserve appreciation due to showing of this outstanding performance.
