Dubai, Dubai Customs touched upon its leading experience in customs field in front of a group of the UAE Government Leaders Programme as part of the program’s “Practices from the Emirates” initiative. The initiative aims to augment the ongoing learning tools for the graduates by helping them learn more about distinctive work of leading national organizations. Director of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said the program reflects the efforts done by the UAE government in building competencies and promoting national capabilities in different fields.

“Dubai Customs works along the guidelines of the Dubai Government Plan 2021 with the goal of supporting Dubai as a world economic hub through facilitating trade and securing the borders. Dubai foreign trade made AED 965.3 billion in the first 9 months of 2018, and we work hard to sustain this momentum,” Musabih said. As part of its overall vision of facilitating trade and securing borders, Dubai Customs equips its customs centers with the most advanced devices and equipment, and hones the skills and competencies of its teams through intensive learning and training processes.
