Hammad Azhar to preside over chief commissioners moot on 6th & 7th

ISLAMABAD: Two day Chief Commissioners conference will be held on 6th and 7th March 2019 at the Federal Board of Revenue Headquarters Islamabad.

According to details, State Minister for Revenue Hammad Azhar and Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan will preside over the conference while all chief commissioners of the Large Taxpayers Units (LTU), Corporate Regional Tax Offices and Regional Tax Offices will participate in it.

Secretary Revenue Budget Muhammad Nawaz Nasir has directed and conveyed that the Chief Commissioners conference for FY 2018-19 is scheduled to be held at 9:30 am on 6-7 March to review the performance of the field formations in February of Fiscal Year 2018-19 and discuss the strategy for achievement of targets during remaining four months of ongoing fiscal year.

Progress on High Net worth Individuals (HNIs) cases will be discussed on the first day of Chief Commissioners Conference where all Large Taxpayers Units (LTU), Corporate Regional Tax offices and Regional Tax Offices will present report of their jurisdiction. Actions against high profile tax evaders (e.g. celebrities, singers, sportsmen, media persons, politicians, business tycoons, real estate tycoons etc) and recovery of outstanding taxes from defaulters and actions for enhancing Sales Tax collection will also be discussed during Chief Commissioners Conference.

During the second day of conference, budgetary proposals for the fiscal year 2019-20 will be discussed and all Chief Commissioners will give presentation during the conference.

Member Operations Inland Revenue, Member Taxpayers Audit, Member Policy Inland Revenue, Member FATE , Member Administration, Director General Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue will also attend the Chief Commissioners Conference to be held at Federal Board of Revenue Headquarter.
