During the checking process of the vehicle, it was clear that the Suzuki jeep was brought to the country without payment of any duty. The ASO team seized the vehicle and forwarded the case to the customs adjudication for proceedings. During the hearing of the case, owner Nazar Hussain did not appear to present his arguments.

Inspector Amir Mumtaz Bajwa appeared from the prosecution side and stated that seized vehicle falls under Section 2 (s) of the Customs Act 1969 read with current policy order.

After hearing the arguments, Additional collector Asma Hameed issued ONO in favor of ASO Mianwali and declared the vehicle under Section 156(1)8 and 9 of the Customs Act 1969 as legal read with Clause (a) of the preamble of SRO 499(1)/2009.
