KABUL: National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Sunday said Afghan Special Forces destroyed a drug factory and a weapons depot belonged to the Taliban in Marja district of southern Helmand province.
A statement from the NDS received by Pajhwok Afghan News said that Afghan Special Forces launched an operation in Marja district of Helmand.
The source said that a narcotics factory belonged to the Taliban’s Red Unit and a Taliban commander, Mudasir, was destroyed during the operation.
A weapons depot where around 3,000 kilograms of explosives were stored also destroyed during the operation, the statement concluded.
