Non-declaration of assets: FBR warns Customs Preventive inspectors, superintendents

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) taking strict notice of the non-declaration of assets by superintendents and inspectors of Collectorate of Customs Preventive for years has warned the officials that they would be de-notified for performance allowance if they fail to meet the deadline this time.

Sources told Customs Today that during the scrutiny of record in Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) (HQ) it was revealed that Declaration of Assets of the officers/officials working in Collectorate of Customs Preventive, Lahore has not yet been received despite reminders since 2012.

The deadline for declaration of assets has been declared to be 20-03-2019 and a warning has been issued that the employees who fail to do so shall be de-notified for performance allowance.

The names and ranks of the officers/officials who have failed to file declaration of assets included Inspector Muhammad Akmal Khan, Inspector Mushtaq Ahmad Bhatti, Inspector Ghulam Hussain Kalas, Inspector Gulzar Hussain Bhatti, Inspector Nadeem Mehmood, Inspector Huma Akhtar, Inspector Manzoor Ahmad Bajwa, Inspector Javaid lqbal, Inspector Abdul Waheed Wahla, Inspector Muhammad Ishaq Jalal, Inspector Sajjad Ahmad Jatoi, Inspector Muhammad Azhar Zaheer, Inspector Tariq Usmani, Inspector Rehan Asif, Inspector Muhammad Yousaf, Inspector Muhammad Abid Shafiq, Inspector Mohammad Habib, Inspector Muhammad Ashfaq Baig, Inspector Zeba Naz, Inspector Muhammad Fayyaz, Inspector Riaz-ul-Haq, Inspector Ghazanfar Abbas, Inspector Waheed Iqbal Bhatti, Inspector Munir Ahmad, Inspector Rana Muhammad Sadiq, Inspector Rana Saifullah, Inspector Shahid Farooq, Inspector Rai Khalid Javaid, Inspector Bashir Ahmad, Inspector Malik Zaffar Iqbal Jootah, Inspector Irfan Ullah Laghari, Inspector Muhammad Iqbal Awan, Inspector M Anwar Naizi, Inspector Muhammad Saeed Randhawa, Inspector Shahzad Khan, Inspector Iqbal Ahmad Baig, Inspector Shahid Khan, Inspector Iftikhar Ahmad Hassan, Inspector Javed lqbal, Inspector Syed Sajjad Afzal, Inspector Nadeern lqbal Saleemi, Inspector Rashid Ahmad, Inspector Masood Arif Cheema, Inspector Shahidul Hassan, Inspector Munir Ahmed, Inspector Iftikhar Hassan, Inspector Muhammad Nadeem Ahmed, Inspector Athar Munir, Inspector Asif Naseer, Office Superintendent Muhammad Jamil Akhtar, Office Superintendent Muhammad Saeed, Principal Appraiser Rao Gulsher Ahmed, Superintendent Abdul Shakoor Khan and others.

The FBR has taken a serious view of non-filing of their declaration of assets and has directed to ensure furnishing of missing declaration of assets to the board positively.

The FBR instructed to the officers/officials to furnish their declaration of assets under terms of conduct Rules 1964.
