QUETTA : Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan said the world has been eyeing Gwadar after the Chinese investment and soon the dream of making the port city into an economic hub of the region will come true.
“The western parts of Balochistan are suitable for investment in energy while there are various other opportunities of investment in provincial agriculture and livestock sectors,” the chief minister told Kuwaiti Consul General Muhammad Abdullah Al-Khalidi during a meeting at the CM Secretariat on Friday. The Kuwaiti CG called on Chief Minister Kamal to discuss investment opportunities in Balochistan.
Provincial ministers Zahoor Buledi, Sarfaraz Domki, Abdul Rehman Kethran, Saleem Khosa, Parliamentary Secretary Mubeen Khilji, Dinesh Kumar and CM’s Coordinator Rameen Muhammad Hassani were present.
Consul General Abdullah Al-Khalidi apprised the CM about the Kuwaiti investors’ interest to invest in provincial water treatment and desalination plants, and the energy sector.
“Pakistan and Kuwait have brotherly relations and both countries have been making efforts to increase bilateral trade,” said the CG.
Kamal said the Balochistan government was going to embark on a series of investment conferences to grab the attention of foreign companies.
He pledged full support and assistance to the Kuwaiti investors and invited them to invest in provincial livestock, fisheries and mineral sectors.
