LHC directs chairman FBR to decide staff promotion case on merit

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Mohammad Jahanzaib Khan to hear FBR employees regarding upgradation case.

On 27.2.2019,  a single bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) heard the appeal filed by Muhammad Feroze Younis and others in which the counsel for appellant argued that appellants/employees are working in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) since long time and their promotion is due from the year 2008 but the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) ignored the time period and promoted employees on 20 June 2017.

He prayed before court that court may order Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to promote the employees as per their due right from year 2008.

After hearing the arguments Lahore High Court (LHC) decided the case ordering the Chairman FBR to hear appellants/employees and solve the case according to law.
