New wing of Hijaz Hospital inaugurates

LAHORE: Private sector is sharing the economic burden of government by playing an active role in social sector and it can do more if government takes businessmen on board.  These views were expressed by the LCCI Senior Vice President Khawaja Shahzad Nasir and Vice President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal while speaking at the inauguration of Hijaz Hospital Trust’s new “Inam Tasneem Waheed” wing. LCCI Senior Vice President Khawaja Shahzad Nasir, Chairperson of Hijaz Hospital Trust Mrs. Tasneem Waheed, Professor M.A. Rufruf, Asif Waheed, Board Members and a large number of people from different sectors were present on the occasion.  “Inam Tasneem Waheed Wing” of Hijaz Hospital has been built with the cost of 4.5 million and would provide state-of-the-art facilities of OPD and Dialyses.

LCCI Senior Vice President Khawaja Shahzad Nasir said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry is not only playing a leading role for the promotion of trade and industry but is also quite active in the social sector.

LCCI Vice President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal, who is also board member of Hijaz Hospital Trust, said that businessmen are not only performing their national obligations by paying taxes to the government but are also spending a large amount on provision of modern medical facilities to the ailing humanity. He said that Hijaz Hospital Trust is one of the most shining examples of private sector’s commitment to the humanity.

He said that good collaboration between the government and the private sector is solution to all problems whether it is economic or social.  The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry is also performing its social and moral obligations in a winsome manner.  Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal lauded the dedication and sincere efforts of the board members.

Chairperson Hijaz Hospital Trust Mrs. Tasneem Waheed said that expansion to the Hijaz Hospital Trust will ensure health care facilities to the more people. She said that Hijaz Hospital Trust is achieving excellence in the provision of highest standards of medical services to create a benchmark in medical field. She said that patient safety, quality patient care and satisfaction, sanitation & Hygiene and maintenance of public trust are the objective of this project.  Participants of the inaugural ceremony visited various wards and departments of Hijaz Hospital Trust and appreciated the working of paramedical staff and attitude of doctors towards the patients.
